Instructor is responsible for: 
- Providing classroom instruction, evaluating and advising students;
 - Developing and/or revising curriculum;
 - Participating in department meetings, program advisory committee meetings, and college-wide events;
 - Maintaining technical knowledge in the field through active participation in professional development organizations and events;
 - Promoting diversity and cultural competency;
 - Performing other duties as assigned by the Academic Dean or Vice President of Academic Affairs.
 
- Master's degree with a major in physics or a Master's degree with a minimum of 16 graduate semester credits (24 graduate quarter credits) in physics
 
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Physics;
 - Two years of undergraduate college teaching experience in Physics subjects;
 - Understanding of Community College mission;
 - Two-year college teaching experience in an urban two-year college;
 - Demonstrated commitment to institutional development;
 - Academic assessment experience;
 - Excellent Communication Skills;
 - Ability to work with faculty and staff as a team member;
 - Ability to work with a diverse student body with a broad range of interests and abilities;
 - Experience with web-enhanced and on-line course teaching with the D2L Platform.
