TT at U Texas Austin [Fall 2015]

The Department of Physics at The University of Texas at Austin is seeking candidates for tenure-track Assistant Professor positions to start September 2015.  In special cases appointments at a more senior level will be considered. Each successful candidate will assume full teaching responsibilities for undergraduate and graduate courses and will conduct a vigorous research program. The research areas currently of highest priority are Ultrafast Science, Theoretical and Computational Plasma Physics, Quantum Condensed Matter Theory, Theoretical Biophysics/Soft Condensed Matter, High Energy Experiment, and High Energy Phenomenology. Outstanding candidates in other areas also may be considered. Excellent English language communication skills are required. Applicants must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) and a demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and research.
