George Fox University announces a one-year visiting position in Physics to begin August 2014. Professors teach all truth as God's truth, integrating all fields of learning around the person and work of Jesus Christ. We seek applicants with the ability to
teach a range of undergraduate physics courses, including General
Physics (both algebra and calculus based), Contemporary Physics, and
accompanying laboratories. In addition, the successful candidate will
be expected to work collaboratively with other program faculty.
· A Master's degree in Physics (or closely related
field) is required; PhD preferred.
· Previous teaching experience at the university-level preferred.
· Experience in
operating physics laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
· Commitment to excellence in undergraduate education.
Appointment at the Instructor level is anticipated, although a
successful candidate holding a terminal degree with at least five
years of relevant experience may be appointed as Visiting Assistant
