FT, Brewton-Parker College, GA

Brewton-Parker College currently is seeking to fill a full-time faculty position in the Division of Mathematics & Natural Sciences for fall 2016. Salary and academic rank will be determined commensurate with academic credentials, experience, and other factors. 

The College: Brewton-Parker College, tracing its origin to 1904, is a four-year, coeducational Christian liberal arts college accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, offering more than twenty areas of undergraduate study to a diverse population of about 600 students in the micropolitan setting of Mount Vernon/Vidalia in the South-Central region of Georgia. As a Georgia Baptist institution, Brewton-Parker affirms the supremacy of Christ and expects members of the faculty and administration to model Christian values before the students, in their professional activities, and in their lives. Employees must be able to communicate their Christian faith verbally and in writing. 

Assistant Professor of Physical Sciences: To begin August 10, 2016, duties include teaching a variety of courses in the physical sciences in support of the general education core, as well as in majors and concentrations such as Biology, Ecology, and Music. Qualified candidates must have at least a master's degree in physics, physical sciences, or some allied discipline with a graduate major (at least 18 credit hours) in the required teaching fields. Doctoral credentials are preferred, as are additional graduate qualifications in mathematics.
