NTT Clinical Assistant Professor, University of Illinois Chicago

The Department of Physics at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) invites applications for its undergraduate laboratory coordinator position. This is a 12-month non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor position with a defined promotion track. 

The primary responsibilities of this position are the day-to-day operations of the department's undergraduate laboratories, the up-keep, modernization and development of the associated experiments, supervision and training of graduate teaching assistants, and the teaching of an introductory physics course each fall and spring semester. 

Each semester the department offers five large introductory physics courses with approximately 1200 students, 50 separate laboratory sections, and 30 graduate teaching assistants. More information on our courses and programs can be found atwww.phys.uic.edu

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in physics or a related area. Other desirable qualifications include experience in coordination of undergraduate teaching laboratories and/or physics instruction. Applications, which must
