DESCRIPTION:
Tusculum College School of Arts and Sciences invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Physics. This is a full-time position that will be teaching at the College’s main campus in Greeneville, TN. Tusculum College is primarily a teaching institution, and applicants should be committed to teaching excellence. Faculty members are expected to advise students, serve on college committees and participate in curriculum/program development and assessment. Salary is negotiable and dependent upon education and experience.
The anticipated start date will be August 2016; therefore, the review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Required qualifications are an earned doctorate degree in Physics. Preferred qualifications include 18 hours of graduate level Mathematics from an accredited institution, and a commitment to providing undergraduate research opportunities to students majoring in degrees offered by the Department of Mathematics and Physics. Experience with online teaching and the development of online courses preferred.
