TT at Buena Vista

Buena Vista University seeks applicants for a tenure-track position in the general area of the physical sciences to begin August, 2009. Applicants should have demonstrated expertise in a physical science discipline (e.g., geology, earth science, physics, etc.) and a strong commitment to high quality undergraduate education in a small college setting. The typical teaching load will include the trigonometry-based physics sequence and courses in the physical sciences for a general undergraduate audience. Offering occasional specialized courses is possible, and engagement with major-level students in undergraduate research experiences is encouraged. A doctorate in a physical science discipline is required for tenure. BVU's highly successful science programs are delivered in a state-of-the-art facility completed in 2004.
