The physics department of Goshen College invites applications for a tenure track faculty position starting in fall 2009. Responsibilities include teaching a variety of courses primarily in the physics major and some introductory mathematics and courses for non-science majors. There will also be opportunities to develop new interdisciplinary curricula. International Candidates Will Be Considered

Requirements
A Ph.D. in physics or a related field is required. The successful candidate will be expected to initiate and carry out a research program involving undergraduates. This could build on existing research areas in x-ray diffraction, biophysics, and acoustics, or it could be a new area. The department is seeking a candidate who can continue the tradition of excellent teaching coupled with a long history of undergraduate research.
