Xavier University School of Medicine, XUSOM, located on the beautiful island of Aruba, Dutch Caribbean is pleased to announce the addition of several full-time, permanent, tenure-track faculty positions in the Pre-Med/Basic Sciences program, including Physics. The positions will remain open until a suitable candidate is selected.
XUSOM is a complete four-year medical school, recognized by the World Health Organization. Basic science coursework is taught in Aruba and students then complete their clinical studies in the United States. Our mission is to prepare highly dedicated students to become effective, successful physicians in the United States. The primary focus of the faculty is to teach and to develop curriculum, thus, individuals who are receptive to identifying and implementing innovations in medical education particularly in small group teaching and in computer-assisted delivery of course content are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team is a desirable attribute.
Required Credentials and Education: All positions with the exception of Librarian, Registrar, and Student Recruitment Specialist require a M.D., or Ph.D. degree with teaching experience or M.D. /Ph.D. with significant teaching potential. Faculties with 2-5 years of teaching experience in international or in North American medical schools are encouraged to apply.
