VAP at Colby

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Colby College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor or instructor for the 2009-10 academic year, starting September 1, 2009.

The successful applicant will teach at all levels of the undergraduate physics curriculum including laboratories. Completion or near completion (ABD) of Ph.D. in physics is required; prior teaching experience and completed degree are preferred. The area of expertise is open, but preference will be given to candidates who can conduct research that includes undergraduates.

The successful candidate will join a faculty active in a variety of research areas
and will work with talented students at a highly selective liberal arts college in central Maine.
