The Center for Science Teaching and Learning invites applications for a position in Secondary Science Education at the assistant professor level starting Fall 2009. Minimum qualifications include PhD or EdD in science education or closely related field; 30 hours of formal science courses; and one year of science teaching experience as the instructor of record in grades 6-12. Preferred qualifications include evidence of exemplary teaching, record of research presentations/publications, and experience in the following areas: field-based secondary science teacher certification programs; problem-based instruction; professional development and outreach, including grants; teaching science teachers at the university level; and working with culturally diverse populations.
