Lecturer at UCSB

The Department of Physics together with the College of Creative Studies (CCS) at the University of California, Santa Barbara is seeking candidates for a Lecturer with Potential Security of Employment, with the appointment to start in Fall 2009. Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in physics and a deep interest in teaching. The Department, together with CCS, runs an intensive program for gifted majors, and the candidate will be expected to teach in that program, as well as teach a range of regular physics courses in the Department. The CCS program effort also requires actively recruiting students as well as advising them.
