Two positions at the Science House

There are two positions:

The Outreach Coordinator for the FREEDM Systems Engineering Research Center, a partnership with the NC State College of Engineering, will help plan, implement, manage and report pre-college outreach activities for the center which include Research Experiences for Teachers, Young Scholars (high school student internships), coordinating activities with rural NC middle and high schools, with other outreach coordinators of The Science House, and planning and presenting pedagogically sound science, mathematics, and engineering content using hands-on, inquiry-based teaching methods. Requires an MS in math, science or science education field, engineering or engineering education field or equivalent experience. The Fayetteville Outreach Coordinator will help plan, implement, manage and report the activities of the office. The outreach coordinator will collaborate with The Science House staff at Raleigh and satellite offices to develop science education outreach projects that emphasize hands-on inquiry-based learning, using technology to support high-quality science and mathematics content instruction.
