TT at Purdue University Calumet

The Assistant Professor in Secondary Science Education is a tenure-track position at Purdue University Calumet. This position is a joint appointment in the Department of Teacher Preparation and the Department of Chemistry and Physics. The person in this position will be responsible for teaching courses in science methods at the secondary level as well as performing appropriate field supervision. Responsibilities will also include the teaching of introductory courses in general physics and/or physical science. The ability to pursue a line of research in physical science education is also essential.

Successful candidates will hold a doctorate, as well as teacher licensure in one or more areas of the physical sciences. Effective communication skills, strong teaching skills, and the ability to work with professional development schools in a field-based program are essential. At least three years of successful teaching experience at the secondary school level is required.
