ADVANCE Executive Director at Texas A&M University

Texas A&M University is pleased to announce the recent award of the NSF funded ADVANCE IT project: Promoting Success of Women faculty Through a Psychologically Healthy Workplace (PHW). We are currently seeking candidates for the Executive Director of the ADVANCE program. The Executive Director will assist the PI, Dr. Sherry Yennello and the ADVANCE leadership team, to implement the objectives of the program. The ADVANCE activities that will transform Texas A&M were developed to align with the five Psychologically Healthy Workplace (PHW) practices: 1) Growth and development, 2) Health and well-being, 3) Involvement, 4) Recognition, and 5) Work-life balance.

These activities, which span the 5 PHW principles, are organized into three broad categories: climate change activities that are designed to improve the workplace climate and reduce bias at Texas A&M; faculty success enhancement activities that are designed to foster the professional development of women STEM faculty at Texas A&M; and recruitment and retention activities that are designed to increase Texas A&M’s success in recruiting and retaining women STEM faculty.
