Physics/Engineering Instructor
FMCC is seeking candidates for a full-time, tenure-track position, to teach Physics and Engineering Science courses to majors and non-majors. Candidates must be committed to the mission of community colleges and teaching students with a wide range of academic abilities. Duties also include, but are not limited to, assessment, planning, and implementation and evaluation of curriculum.Qualifications: A Masters degree in Physics, Engineering, or a closely-related field is required. Coursework in both Physics and Engineering is preferred. Teaching experience is desired, preferably at the two-year college level, as is experience with assessment of student learning.
Salary/Benefits: The successful candidate will receive an excellent benefits package and an expected rank/annual salary of Instructor/$48,738.
The anticipated start date is September 1, 2013. The position will remain open until a successful candidate has been identified. However, for fullest consideration, applications should be received by March 1, 2013.
