Bard College invites applications for a two year visiting position
in Physics in the Division of Science, Mathematics, and Computing at the
Assistant Professor level beginning in the Fall 2013 semester. Bard
College is a highly selective liberal arts college located 100 miles
north of New York City, on the Hudson River.
The candidate
would teach courses at all levels within the Physics program; funding
will be provided for the candidate to maintain an active research
program and to develop an advanced laboratory course, preferably in
optics. The ability to work closely with faculty members throughout the
Division and the College in research and curricular development will be
critical, and candidates are encouraged to present any such interests
that could overlap with other fields of study. Applicants should have a
Ph.D. in Physics. For further information regarding the position, please
