ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The
Science and Mathematics Faculty in the School of Letters and Sciences
at Arizona State
University are seeking a highly motivated, energetic and passionate
individual to fill a Physics Instructional Professional position. The
Instructional Professional will be part of a team that includes Physics
faculty and other instructional staff dedicated to quality
instruction. Instructional Professionals are responsible for the design
of curriculum and instructional programs, modification o f lab
exercises, and delivery of instruction. Instructional Professionals are
responsible for set-up and take down of labs and grading of student
assignments. Teaching load is typically 4 to 5 labs per semester, 10
labs per year, or an equivalent combination of physics recitations and
lab sections.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: MS degree in Physics or a closely related field at time of appointment. A demonstrated
commitment to excellence in
undergraduate education is also required.
DESIRED: Candidates with a PhD degree in Physics or closely related field, experience teaching at the college level
with evidence of
design and/or implementation of lab exercises are desired. Experience in lab preparation and take down is also desired.
