The position has broad responsibilities within the UTeach Dallas program
that include coordinating projects with the current Master Teachers
at UTeach Dallas, recruiting prospective science and mathematics
teachers, developing and teaching certification courses at UT Dallas,
maintaining a strong working relationship with our partner school
districts. The position will require travel locally and may require
periodic travel to UT Austin.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or
Mathematics with a secondary teaching certificate, science teaching and instructional leadership experiences.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Preference will be given to a school or
district educator whose experience includes recognized performance in
teaching science, exemplary service as an instructional leader or
administrator such as science coordinator or instructional specialist,
and
strong advocacy for best teaching practices.

Coordinate
program responsibilities
with peers at UT Dallas. Recruit prospective science and mathematics
students interested in teaching. Develop and teach certification
courses at UT Dallas. Maintain a strong working relationship with
partner school districts and mentor teachers. Develop a close
association
with other UT Dallas Master Teachers.
