FT at Drexel PA

The Drexel University Department of Physics seeks applications for a full-time 12-month teaching faculty appointment to teach in its undergraduate program beginning September 2014. Duties will include curricular and lab development, departmental service, and undergraduate instruction at all levels.

The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in physics or a closely related discipline and be an experienced and enthusiastic educator. Prior teaching experience at the university level is desired. Candidates invited to campus will be expected to prepare a half-hour lecture aimed at an introductory undergraduate audience. Compensation will be competitive, and commensurate with experience. The initial appointment will be for 1-2 years. A successful fit may lead to multiple annual or multi-year renewals.
