1-Year Term Assistant Prof, Quinnipiac, CT

Overview:
The Department of Chemistry and Physical Sciences of Quinnipiac University College of Arts and Sciences seeks applicants for a full-time term (non-tenure track) assistant professor of physics starting August, 2015.  This is a 9.5 month position.  The primary duty of term appointed faculty is teaching with limited scholarship and service expectations.  This appointment is for one year duration and may be renewed.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate must have demonstrated commitment  to excellence in teaching.  Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
Classroom teaching experience in physics lecture and laboratory environments at the undergraduate level and use of instructional technologies is highly desired. 
Teaching responsibilities will include introductory physics lecture and laboratory courses and may also include physical science courses for non-science majors. In addition, responsibilities of this position will include the weekly set-up of equipment and coordination of multiple lab sections, as assigned.   
Qualifications & Special Instructions to Applicants:
Qualifications for this position include a Ph.D. in physics or a closely related field at the time of appointment.  
Previous classroom teaching experience in physics lecture and laboratory environments at the undergraduate level and use of instructional technologies is highly desired.
