Miami University Hamilton invites applications for a one-year faculty position in physics beginning August 2015.
Full-load of teaching duties include introductory algebra-based physics, introductory calculus-based physics and their associated laboratories as well courses for non-science majors. Additional duties may include providing general advising to undergraduates and performing service to the department and the university.
Appointment period: academic year 2015/16 (August 17, 2015 – May 17, 2016).
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. (for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor) or Master’s (for appointment as Instructor) in physics or a closely related field and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate physics teaching.
Experience using active learning strategies and teaching in online and hybrid formats.
