The University of Minnesota Physics Education Research and Development Group seeks a postdoctoral Research Associate to help continue its development and assessment of web-based instructor-customizable computer problem-solving coaches for physics.
Responsibilities include planning and co-supervision of graduate and undergraduate students, data collection and analysis, giving presentations related to the project, and some computer programming. Opportunities for independent research in Physics Education and teaching physics classes will also be available.
We seek applicants that have an interest in physics education research (PER), particularly in problem solving who are familiar with computer programing. Experience in object-oriented programming and/or database use is a plus.

Required qualifications:
A Ph.D. in physics or science education with extensive experience in physics.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in physics education research
Experience with object-oriented and database programming
