Full-time, tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor of Physics available beginning Fall 2015 in the Engineering Science and Physics Department. Master's degree in physics is required; doctorate is preferred. Responsibilities will include teaching physics in the classroom, laboratory and online. Three years of teaching experience or an appropriate combination of teaching, relevant work experience, and scholarly activity are required. Prior teaching, especially in a community college environment, is preferred.
Preference given to applicants with demonstrated interest and ability in the use of alternative and innovative instructional methods, familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom, and on-line teaching experience. Candidates comfortable in a student-centered environment and with a strong committed to the community college mission are encouraged to apply. Salary range is $38,563 to $50,423. Salary offer will be based on qualifications.
