The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Vassar College invites applications for a two-year full-time position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor beginning in fall semester of 2015.

Candidates should have a PhD in Physics or a related discipline and a commitment to undergraduate education. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 5 courses each year, spanning all levels of the curriculum.
The position is open to candidates with expertise in any area of physics. The department currently consists of five physicists and two astronomers whose specialties are detailed on the department homepage at http://physicsandastronomy.vassar.edu.
