University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) invites applications for a
full-time non tenure-track appointment as a Lecturer of Physics starting
in the Summer or Fall 2014.
A successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory level undergraduate courses as well as
undergraduate core physics courses at UHCL.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or MS in Physics, Astrophysics or Astronomy and significant
teaching experience.

beginning in the Summer or Fall 2014.
A successful candidate
will be expected to teach introductory level Physics/Astronomy courses
as well as higher level undergraduate and graduate courses and advise
bachelor's, master's and Ph.D. students' research at UHCL. Applicants
should have significant teaching experience to receive full
consideration.
Minimum Requirements: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in
Physics, Astrophysics or Astronomy.
Preferred Requirements: Specialization in an area of research relevant to the neighboring NASA
Johnson Space Center or Lunar and Planetary Institute is preferred.
The
University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) Physics Department
is a young, rapidly growing program at a non-traditional university
offering bachelor's and master's degrees in Physics as well as a
Collaborative Ph.D. Physics degree through the University of Houston.
Undergraduate and Graduate students are involved in research in
Astronomy, BioPhysics, Nanoscience, Planetary Science, Orbital
Mechanics, Plasma Physics, Cosmology, Relativity, Astroparticle Physics
and
several other areas in collaboration with the NASA Johnson Space Center
and other research institutes in the area.
