Austin College’s Department of Physics invites applications for a
full-time tenure track position in Physics and Astronomy beginning Fall
2014. We seek an enthusiastic individual to help build an exciting
program in Astronomy using Austin College’s new Adams Observatory. The
successful candidate will have strong commitments to innovative teaching
in a liberal arts environment and an active research program involving
undergraduates. Teaching responsibilities will include Physics and
Astronomy courses at all undergraduate levels, and contributions to

A Ph.D. in astronomy, physics, or closely related field is required;
post-doctoral experience and/or previous teaching experience is highly
desirable. Candidates should include a letter of application, curriculum
