Lewis-Clark State College invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Physics.
Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications, $46,000 - $48,000.
Degree Requirement: A PhD in physics or related field earned by January 2014.
Required Qualifications: A PhD in physics or related field earned by January 2014. A strong commitment to undergraduate education is essential. The candidate will be primarily teaching introductory physics courses and associated labs.
Preferred Qualifications: Some previous teaching experience is preferred. A potential to teach astronomy, earth science, and/or foundational engineering is desired.
Responsibilities: Teaching 24 adjusted contact hours as assigned by the Division Chair. Candidate will be responsible for teaching standard introductory physics courses and associated labs and has the potential for teaching additional astronomy, earth science, and foundational engineering courses. Engage in professional development, scholarship, advising, and service. Other duties as assigned by Division Chair.
