TT at Dillard, LA

Dillard University, classified by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education as a balanced arts and sciences/profession institution located in the culturally rich and diverse city of New Orleans, Louisiana, announces seven positions.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Physics            
Qualifications:  Ph.D. in Physics, a record of teaching and service, a commitment to academic excellence. Applicants whose research interests complement the department's research strengths in experimental PLD of thin film familiar with XRF, XRD, AFM and FTIR machines are encouraged to apply.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                            
Duties and Responsibilities:  Teach physics courses; advise and mentor students; conduct an undergraduate research program; write grants; serve on program, School and College committees. Teaching load will include 12 hours per semester depending on grant-supported research activities and other departmental responsibilities.  This is a nine-month tenure track appointment.

Salary and Rank:  Salary and Rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
