Teach undergraduate and graduate education "methods" in science
education at the Elementary level (Grades 1-6) and a combined science
and social studies course at Early Childhood level (PK-2); assist in
undergraduate and graduate program development; supervise student
teachers; write and support the development of grants; and advise
undergraduate and graduate students.
Job Requirements
Required Minimum Qualifications:Doctorate in Education or a closely related field and a minimum of 2 full academic years as a full-time teacher in the public schools required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate in Science Education or a closely related field and a Master's degree in a science discipline preferred. Teaching experience with PK-12 students and licensed as a public school teacher or supervisor preferred. Participation in scholarly activities; including action research, conference presentations, in-service workshops and education-related community services preferred. Candidates should be familiar with the standards of NSTA and/or other science-related organizations and demonstrate a constructivist teaching philosophy. Experience teaching at the college level preferred.
