Role: Position monitors, tutors and assists students in a lab setting in
physics. Physics levels will range from basic skills to advanced
courses with an emphasis on developing study skills to succeed in
college level courses. Employs interactive and innovative instruction
techniques to reach students with diverse learning styles. Assists
students from diverse cultural, ethnic, socioeconomic, academic and
disability backgrounds. Engages in professional development activities.
Demonstrates a commitment to service excellence, innovation, student
success, integrity, and diversity in the performance of job duties.
Employment based on 190 days during the grant year.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required with 24 hours in
Physics or related field; Master's degree with 18 hours in discipline
preferred. Evidence of thorough and accurate knowledge of discipline is
required. Preference given to those holding a Master's Degree.
Minimum of two years teaching experience, community college experience
preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
