The
Physics Instructional Resource Team (PIRT) is seeking a qualified
candidate for a lecture and lab assistant position. This is service
oriented position. Time will be shared between the lecture and lab
areas.

Provide
service to physics professors by planning and preparing lecture
demonstrations for General Studies courses; assist in the setup and
operation of undergraduate physics labs including technical lab support
as needed during classes; purchase, receive, and inventorying new
laboratory equipment; balance purchase statements at the end of each
month; maintain laboratory equipment; keep the demo-prep areas and
laboratories in clean condition; participate in PIRT outreach projects;
train and evaluate student workers and teaching assistants; take part in
professional development activities; effective verbal and written
skills; Work with diverse populations
DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00a.m.-5:00 p.m. Occasional Saturday and late evenings.

Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND three (3) years of related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. | |
