Job Duties:
- Teaching assignment in Physics may include a full range of undergraduate courses within the Physics discipline such as Introductory Physics for non-majors, College Physics, Calculus based physics including Mechanics, Heat, Sound, Electricity, Light and Modern Physics topics, Statics and Electric Circuits.
- Teaching assignment may also include a range of undergraduate courses in Mathematics.
- Teaching assignment may include day, evening, weekend, and/or on-line courses
- Teaching responsibilities include teaching courses, maintaining scheduled office hours, advising students, developing curriculum, assessing student learning and participating in professional development activities
- Leadership in developing and improving our academic courses
- Community service is encouraged
- Master's degree or higher required in Physics
- All academic degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university
- Ability to maintain good relationships with students, staff, and community members
- Additional 18 graduate hours in Mathematics preferred
- Teaching experience at the community college level
- Experience and/or interest in using multimedia/new instructional technology in the classroom
