Job Description:

OHIO UNIVERSITY Eastern is seeking candidates for a position of Lecturer of Physics.

This non-tenure .80 FTE track position is renewable and begins on August 15, 2014.
Applicants must have a master's degree in Physics or closely related area with evidence of successful college/university teaching.

Responsibilities include teaching physics related classes in support of demand in general education and majors that require physics.

The successful applicant will also assist in maintaining lab facilities at the Eastern campus. The position requires 24 credit hours of teaching (or equivalent duties) per academic year.

The Eastern Campus is one of five regional campuses of Ohio University offering twelve bachelor's degrees, and the first year of general studies in many majors. The campus is non-residential with approximately 1100 students and 22 resident faculty. The campus is located 60 miles southwest of Pittsburgh and 120 miles east of Columbus. Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in Physics or closely related area.
