Job Description Summary:
The College of Education at Armstrong Atlantic State University invites applications for a tenure track position at the assistant or associate professor level, beginning August 2014, pending budgetary approval. ABD will be considered if degree is awarded by December 31, 2014.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Earned Doctorate in education with minimum 18 graduate hours in science or science education, from an accredited institution.
- Experience in professional collaborations.
- Evidence of potential for scholarly productivity.
- Minimum of two years in a 6-12 classroom experience.
- Prior university teaching experience.
- Experience with NCATE or state accreditation process.
- Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate courses in education foundations and 6-12 science methods.
- Experience or commitment to the use of technology.
- Collaborative work with local school districts.
- Demonstrate a willingness and ability to incorporate diversity issues into the classroom.
- Must value continued scholarship and service to the department, college, and university.
- Additional duties include advising graduate students and committee work.
