The Department
The purpose of the Department of Physics is to provide our students with an academically rigorous education in physics and its application.  This takes place in a context of committed Christian faith, intellectual challenge, and holistic mentoring.  We seek to prepare students for careers in which they will explore the laws of the natural world that God has made, share the details of that creation with others, and apply technology to serve the needs of the world.  The department currently has four tenured or tenure-track faculty and 1.5 lecturers.  We graduate 15-20 students each year.  The majority of our students earn a B.S. in Engineering Physics, a B.S. in Physics, or an engineering degree through our 3-2 partnership program.
