Teach undergraduate and graduate science and education courses. Work collaboratively within the science education workgroup, in cross-disciplinary groups, and with a new science center within the College of Education. Commit to collaborative curriculum revision to align College of Education curricula with demands and realities in research and changing demographics, particularly as related to increases in the number of K-12 science teachers in the UNG service area. Teaching in a professional development community (PDC) site could constitute a significant portion of the teaching day. This position is pending funding.
An earned doctorate in science education or a closely related field is required. A minimum of three years of teaching in K-12 schools is required. A record of successful educational and community involvement activities is preferred.
