TT at Arkansas Tech University

Arkansas Tech University, a state-supported, primarily undergraduate institution of 12,000 students, invites applications for a 9-month academic year, tenure-track position to teach a full-time load of twelve credit hours per semester to begin August 2015. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. (or ABD) in physics; a demonstrated ability to teach physics courses and the associated labs and the ability to develop a research program involving undergraduate students. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in solid state physics. Send letter of application addressing evidence of excellence in teaching, service and scholarship, including curriculum vita, official transcripts, teaching philosophy, reference letters from three sources and a description of research interests and goals that involve undergraduates to Dr. Jeff Robertson, Dean of the College of Natural & Health Sciences, ( Closing date for accepting applications is January 5, 2015.
