TT, Mississippi College

Mississippi College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in our Physics program with a starting date of August 2016. Successful candidates will possess a completed Ph.D. with at least 18 hours of graduate coursework in the field of physics. Candidates should have the background necessary to teach undergraduate level courses including Trigonometry-based and Calculus-based Introductory Physics and some combination of the following: Modern Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, Classical Mechanics, Optics, Engineering Mechanics, and Engineering Thermodynamics. Faculty members are expected to be exceptional instructors, provide quality advising to students, and possess an appreciation for the mission of Mississippi College.
