The University of Findlay, Departments of Physics, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position. A Ph.D. in physics, biophysics, astronomy, or a closely related area is required. ABD's will also be considered. Candidate must possess terminal degree at time of appointment. Preference will be given to those with enthusiasm and experience in undergraduate teaching.
Responsibilities of this position include teaching general physics and introductory astronomy courses, managing the University's planetarium, and mentoring undergraduate research. Candidates must be committed to student-centered education and professional development as well as scholarly activities. Currently, the department does not have a degree program. Compensation and title are commensurate with experience.
