VAP, West Virginia University



The Department of Physics and Astronomy at West Virginia University invites applications to fill one non-tenure-track position at the visiting assistant professor level. The successful candidate will teach several sections of introductory physics and/or descriptive astronomy each semester. Opportunities to teach upper division undergraduate physics courses may also be available. The appointment will begin August 16, 2016 and continue through May 15, 2017, with additional summer teaching support possible. Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in physics or a closely related field and a demonstrated ability to teach at the introductory physics level.
