VAP, Illinois College

Illinois College invites application for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics for the 2016/17 academic year. This is a one-year replacement position. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. (or ABD) in Physics or a related discipline. 

Teaching responsibilities include six and a half course equivalents over the academic year: Algebra-based General Physics 1 (in the fall) and 2 (spring) as well as Light (fall) and Thermodynamics (spring). Scholarly engagement in the discipline is encouraged, and funding is available for travel and professional development. Opportunities exist for student-faculty research and advising.
