Position Summary or Faculty QualificationsThe Departments of Physics at Saint Joseph’s University invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics position to begin August 16, 2016.
Teaching duties may include introductory algebra-based physics (lecture and lab), an introductory astronomy course for non-science majors (lecture and lab), and an upper-division physics course for a total of 4 courses/labs per semester. Therefore, successful applicant may have the opportunity to teach both introductory and advanced physics courses.

Duties and Responsibilities:Teaching of a specified course
Preparation of materials
Providing support and guidance to students
Report grades
Secondary Responsibilities:
Minimum Requirements:Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related major
Preferred Qualifications:Previous teaching experience
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:May require standing for long periods of time, talking for long periods of time and carrying course materials.
