POSITION: Nine-month fixed-term appointment*
DATE OF APPOINTMENT: August 17, 2015
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Teach lower division physics courses including laboratories.
  • Teach physics courses for education majors.
  • Standard teaching load is 24 credits per year.
  • Contribute to program development and scholarly activities in the department.
  • Contributing to student growth.
  • Service to the department, college, university and community.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • M.S. degree or higher in physics conferred on an official transcript by August 10, 2015.
  • Interest and ability to effectively teach college-level introductory physics courses, including laboratories.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • PhD in physics.
  • Excellence in teaching physics courses at the college or university level.
  • Excellence in communication with students, faculty and staff.
  • Evidence and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment for fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
