One/More Fixed Term Instructorships, Central Michigan U

The Physics Department at Central Michigan University invites applications for one or more fixed-term instructor positions for the 2015-16 academic year, beginning Aug. 24, 2015. The possibility of reappointment for an additional year exists. At least one of the instructors must be able to teach introductory astronomy courses. A Ph.D. or ABD-status in physics, astronomy, or a closely related field is required, as are effective written and verbal communication skills, and teaching experience at least at the level of a graduate teaching assistant. Additional teaching experience is desirable. Applicants should submit a CV, a statement of teaching experience and interests, and a list of three references online via jobs.cmich.edu. Review of applications will begin on April 1, 2015 and continue until the position is filled.
