Lake Forest College seeks a physicist committed to excellent undergraduate instruction to fill a one-year full-time sabbatical replacement position. Renewal may be possible, contingent upon funding and the approval of future sabbaticals. The successful candidate will be able to teach in the classroom and laboratory at all levels in our physics curriculum. A Ph.D. in physics is required and preference will be given to candidates with a background in experimental physics. The Department of Physics has research programs in electron-molecule collisions, quantum optics and laser spectroscopy, and granular materials.
The application consists of a cover letter, a brief statement of teaching philosophy, a curriculum vitae, and a graduate school transcript.
