The W.M. Keck Science Department (www.kecksci.claremont.edu) of Claremont McKenna, Pitzer, and Scripps Colleges (three of the five undergraduate Claremont Colleges) seeks to hire two visiting professors in physics beginning in Summer 2015. The positions are one-year appointments with the possibility of continuation. This interdisciplinary department comprises biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental analysis faculty. The physics discipline oversees an active pre-engineering program. We seek exceptional individuals with demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarship. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in physics or an engineering-related field and be able to teach a range of upper-division and entry-level courses. At the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains, thirty miles east of Los Angeles, The Claremont Colleges are within a one-hour drive of Caltech, UCLA, USC, UC Irvine, and UC Riverside.
