Radford University Department of Physics. Special Purpose faculty position in physics. This is a full-time, continuing, non-tenure track position at the rank of instructor. Based on needs and available resources, continuing non-tenure track positions are annually renewable. A master's degree in physics or a closely related field is required; a Ph.D. is preferred. The successful applicant will be expected to teach courses in physics, astronomy, and/or physical science. Excellence in teaching as well as commitment to the department's initiative to double its number of majors is expected. Applicants must provide a letter of application, current vita, statement of teaching philosophy, copies of all undergraduate and graduate transcripts, and recommendation letters from three references. Demonstration of educational effectiveness via the submission of teaching reviews or other materials will also be welcome.
