Preferred Qualifications
- Applicants must have Ph.D. in physics, astronomy, or closely-related field by the time of appointment
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate scholarship potential and a promising research agenda
- Teaching load is 12 hours per semester
- Maintaining office hours
- Advising students
- Participating in departmental and college-wide activities including developing new courses and active involvement in undergraduate research
- Support of biology, chemistry, and mathematics programs,
- Management of the Baldwin Observatory with a 16-inch telescope
- Participation in research involving undergraduates.
- Contributions to the ongoing advancement of the sciences at Aquinas will be expected.
