Responsibilities - Essential Functions
The successful candidate will be expected to manage all aspects of teaching introductory courses and labs offered by the physics department during the regular academic year, including holding regular office hours, and working effectively with the department's faculty and staff. Affiliate faculty normally teach 12-15 credit hours per semester, and are optionally eligible for summer teaching contracts.

Required Qualifications and Education
Master's degree in physics, astronomy, science education, or a closely related field (candidates completing their Master's degree prior to their hiring date will be considered). Your bachelor's degree must be in physics or evidence of an extensive record of teaching physics beyond laboratory courses.
Evidence of effective teaching in introductory physics or astronomy courses.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to working with a diverse student population.
